Dorsany Mukhtar who was on the bus with 15 staff members and relatives claims the Afrikaans man who was apparently intoxicated, started singing offensive songs with references to the Indian community.

“There was an Afrikaner male that was singing derogatory songs like De la Rey mentioning some racial slurs. He got up from his seat went to one of the Moulana’s, one of our employees putting alcohol in his ears, rubbed alcohol on one of my other employees hair, put alcohol into our cooler bag containing soft drinks. I then confronted him to ask him why his lingering with my property and he head-butted me almost pushing me out of the bus.”

The police’s Appel Ernst says they are investigating the incident.

“Magaliesburg SAPS are investigating the matter. Travellers were confronted by a male suspect who allegedly made racial remarks towards other and he also allegedly assaulted them. The investigating officers would urge witnesses to come forward and contact the Magaliesburg SAPS.”
