Former Pakistani cricketer star Saeed Anwar has reportedly been dealing with serious trauma after the demise of renowned Da’ee and Naat singer Junaid Jamshed.

According to the Daily Jang, Saeed, who was a close companion of the deceased, was part of the same Jamaat as Jamshed in his twilight days in Chitral.

Sources mention Anwar spending  a lot of his time following the death of Jamshed in mourning and reflection.

Worshippers in the masjid he was attending have claimed that Saeed was suffering from anticipatory anxiety just half an hour before the fateful crash took place. “He was very sad and restless, and eventually when the news of plane’s crash came, Saeed burst into tears,” claimed the worshippers.

It has been revealed that Anwar was due to accompany Jamshed on the flight but had opted not to, in order to remain with the Jamaat.

Videos released online show Jamshed accompanied by Anwar in some of his final interactions in Chitral.

Separately, Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi has paid glowing tribute to Jamshed. In interviews with a number of Pakistani talk shows, the distinguished former national captain has reminisced over the time he spend together with Jamshed, both in Jamaat and on Hajj, describing the Da’ees character as impeccable.
