Residents of Lenasia have been left devastated following the death of Soraya Akhalwaya Maal in a fatal accident.
It’s understood Soraya who was believed to be in her late 30’s was killed after she lost control of her car causing it to roll into the barriers on the R500 outside Fochville this morning.
Paramedics says they arrived on the scene and found the wrecked light motor vehicle lying partially on top of the roadside barriers.
It is believed that a number of motorists attempted to free Soraya from the car, but were unable to.
ER24’s Russel Meiring says the cause of the accident is being investigated.
“On closer inspection, paramedics discovered the body of a woman lying trapped inside the vehicle. Unfortunately, nothing could be done for the patient and she was declared dead on the scene.”
