August 14, 2016

Faizel Patel, 2016-08-14

Police have launched a manhunt for 5 suspects following the murder of 4 people at a house in Lawley, south of Johannesburg.

It’s understood the owner was leaving the house last night when he was approached by the gang who opened fire on him and later went into the house killing his family.

The police’s Mazela Masondo says the motive for the murder is being investigated.

“An African male who is the owner of the house was approached by a gang and they suddenly shot at him in the upper body, but he survived. While he was collapsed, they proceeded to the house where they shot dead his wife, the daughter, the son and the daughter-in-law.”

Masondo says they are investigating 4 cases of murder and one of attempted murder and have appealed to anyone with information that can assist the police to come forward.
