The South African Weather Service has warned that cold weather conditions are expected to grip Gauteng and other parts of the country for the better part of this week.
The weather service is reporting that there is an 80% chance of rainfall in Gauteng with a significant drop in temperature expected tomorrow.
“The temperatures will further drop to around the midteens on Tuesday and with rainfall expected throughout the day, we might even see temperatures dropping to highs of 13°C.”
They say that two warnings for heavy downpours and snowfall were issued for other parts of the country.
A warning for disruptive snowfall has been issued for the high grounds of the Kwazulu-Natal province, the eastern Free State, as well as the northeastern Eastern Cape.
Residents of North West, Mpumalanga and Limpopo can also expect rain and a drop in temperatures over the next couple of days.
