A newborn baby boy has been found dead in a veld in Lenasia, south of Johannesburg.
Paramedics were alerted to the scene after member of public noticed the body amongst some refuse at the corner of Shari and Shaba Crescent.
ER24’s Russell Meiring says local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
“Upon arrival, paramedics found the body partially wrapped in a bloodstained shirt and plastic bag. The shirt and bag were quickly removed as paramedics assessed the patient. Unfortunately, the child had already succumbed to his injuries.”
Meiring says nothing more could be done for the baby and he was declared dead on scene.
