The body of a 43-year-old man reported missing has been found in the Vaal Dam by the SAPS Search and Rescue and Waterwing.
It’s believed the man went missing last week after he apparently fell off his canoe while fishing at the dam with his family.
ER24’s Russel Meiring says search and rescue teams searched for a number of days for the body after the incident.
“Unfortunately, nothing could be done for the patient and he was declared dead by ER24 paramedics who were on scene.”
Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
