A 72-year-old woman has been apparently strangled to death at her home in Kelvin, north of Johannesburg.
It’s understood Fatima Patel’s body was found by her family in the early hours of this morning in what appears to be a robbery.
The police’s Moses Maphakela says they are continuing their investigations into the incident.
“This morning when the family woke up they went to the room where the elderly person was sleeping they found that the door was open. When they opened it they found the old lady had passed away.” When they investigated they found only a TV was taken inside the house.”
Maphakela says they have opened an inquest docket.
