Twenty people have been injured in a collision between a taxi and three cars on Beyers Naude in Cresta.
 
While the cause of the accident is not yet known, it’s understood the taxi overturned this evening.

Paramedics say they managed to free three passengers from the taxi using the Jaws of Life.
 
ER24’s Chitra Bodasing says authorities were on scene for further investigations.
 
ER24 paramedics and other services arrived on scene and found the badly damaged taxi that had overturned lying on its roof. Three patients were trapped in the taxi. Fire and Rescue Services, with the assistance of paramedics, used the Jaws of Life and other rescue tools to extricate the patients.
