An argument about soccer between two friends has turned to tragedy with one stabbing the other to death in the northern Mumbai suburb of Nallasopara in India.
AFP is reporting the incident happened on Saturday when the Nigerian duo were wrangling about whether Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo is the worlds best footballer.
The Police’s Kiran Kabadi says a 21-year-old man has been arrested for the crime and has been charged with murder.
“During the conversation a quarrel had taken place. The deceased threw a glass into the face of the accused person. The glass broke and caused small injuries. The injured man retaliated by taking the broken glass and assaulted the friend who died due to heavy bleeding.”
Kabadi says the man is being detained at the Tulinj Police Station.
