A 47-year-old man has been arrested after he was caught with 40 packets containing 41 000 Mandrax tablets worth an estimated R2 million.
It is understood the man was arrested yesterday after his vehicle was searched by the flying squad in Port Elizabeth.
The police’s Priscilla Naidu says the man has been charged with bribery, dealing, and possession of drugs.
“The excellent arrest and confiscation by the members is applauded as we embark on closing all avenues for drug dealers and syndicates.”
Naidu says the man is expected to appear in court soon.
