Hamza who was just 6-years old passed away in an accident last week.
Moulana Imtiyaaz Bhyat says Hamza was surprisingly curious during a recent mayyit in Roshnee asking a number of questions about the mayyit process and what the hearse was for before tragedy struck later that evening.
“After the Janaza he ran to the qabr and he was peeping and he was very interested, His eyes were fixed into the empty grave and I wondered why is he looking.”
Moulana Bhyat says Hamaza was well loved by all those who knew him.
“It was a janaza where people said to me it was the second biggest janaza in Roshnee for a person who is not even a resident here.”
He says nothing else but deen can bring solace to the heart and that it’s normal to feel pain when one loses a child.
“There is a quotation that says a child lost is not an event. It is an indescribable journey of survival. It is hard to forget someone who gave you so much to remember and that death leaves a heartache no one can heal, but love leaves a memory no one can steal.”
Moulana Bhyat emphasized that Islam has taught Muslims patience and that life is not forever.
“We are all going to die one day. We are all in the queue towards the end of our life. It’s just that our ticket numbers are not the same, it’s all different.”
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: ‘when a child of the slave (of Allah) dies, Allah says to the angels: “Have you taken the fruits of his work.” They reply: “Yes.” So He says: “What did My slave say?” They reply: “He praised you and mentioned that to You is the return.” So Allah says: “Build a house in Paradise for My slave, and name it ‘the house of praise.'” – Tirmidhi
