Faizel Patel, Radio Islam News, 2016-02-01

As the country battles another heatwave, the South African Weather Service has urged residents to stay out of the sun.

The mercury is expected to soar over the 35°C mark in the northern parts of Gauteng and Limpopo.

Forecaster Lebogang Mashile said there is a possibility of rain and cooler temperatures towards the end of the week.

“We’re expecting chance of isolated showers and thundershowers over Gauteng throughout the week. For the heatwave conditions, we’re expecting our temperatures to be in the range of 35°C to 37°C for the northern parts of Gauteng. However, for the southern parts we can expect temperatures to be in the range of 30°C.” – EWN
