Lenasia Duo Arrested for Drug Possession

Two Lenasia men arrested for possession of drugs are expected to appear in the local Magistrates Court today.

The duo aged between 20 and 30 were arrested by the Vaal Rand K9 Unit at a house Extension 2 yesterday following a tipoff from the community.

They were found with 191 packets of dagga, crack cocaine, Mandrax and rocks with an estimated value of 2,000 rand and an undisclosed amount of cash.

The police’s John Serala says the men have been charged with possession of drugs.

“The Vaal Rand K9 Unit got a tip-off from the community members about the selling of drugs and the dealing of drugs in Lenasia. Two suspects have been charged with dealing and possession of drugs. One of the suspects was on parole. They will appear in the Lenasia Magistrates Court soon.”
