A Pakistani man has vowed to fulfil his crippled father’s lifelong dream of performing hajj by carrying him on his back.

The man in his fifties appeared on camera footage carrying his father during the Jumu’ah salaah in Saudi Arabia.

Saudi daily ‘Al Jazira’, Emirates 24/7 reports the man said his father is crippled and cannot walk and that he would carry him all the times him on his back through the hajj season.

The man said he is ready to tolerate all difficulties to honour his pledge to his father.

The photo went viral on social media, with many viewers praising the son for this behaviour and crediting the father for this “good upbringing.”

Hajj 2015 is anticipated to fall between September 20 and September 25, taking place from the 8th to the 12th of Thul-Hijjah, the last month of the Islamic calendar.

According to a Gulf Today report, records showed an estimated 2.5 million Muslims from all over the world go to Makkah, Saudi Arabia for the annual hajj after Ramadan and prior to `Eid Al Adha.
