Police are searching for three armed men after they robbed a house in Okapi Street in Lenasia Extension 5 in the early hours of this morning.
The police’s Captain Mpande Khoza says the men clad in balaclava’s gained entry into the home through a window after tying up the security guard who was patrolling street.
“They then proceeded inside the house where they also tied up some members of the family and they took six hundred rand cash, three cellphones and jewellery.”
Captain Khoza says one of the cellphones was tracked to Vlakfontein along the Golden Highway.
“We suspect that some of the construction people who were doing the paving at the house might be responsible for this house robbery,” Khoza said.
No suspects have been arrested and the police have opened a case of house robbery.
