Gauteng police are appealing to the public to come forward after a 33-year-old woman was gunned down in front of her children in Soweto.
The woman was with her with her seven-year-old son and was picking up her 12-year-old daughter from school in Braamfischerville when they were confronted by two men yesterday.
The men made off with the car which was later found in Dobsonville.
The police’s Kay Makhubela said the woman was left for dead after armed gunmen hijacked her outside her children’s school.
“She was shot during the hijacking and taken out from the car along with the children. They then drove away. She was left for dead.”
He says police are investigating a case of murder and armed robbery.
“We’re appealing to anyone with information to contact the police.”
No arrests have yet been made. – EWN
