New Hajj Health Companion App for Hujjaj

A new healthcare app has been launched by the Ministry of Health (MoH) in Saudi Arabia.

The Hajj Health Companion app, the essential healthcare guide for all Hujjaj was developed by a South African consultant of McKinsey & Company Dr. Imraan Munshi who hails from Lenasia in conjunction with the Ministry of Health.

Available in English and Arabic the application provides health information and guidelines useful and helpful to the hujjaj during Hajj.

This Ministry of health (MoH) app will also enable hujjaj to:

  • Get real time MoH health advisories and tweets

  • Make an emergency call for ambulance police or healthcare advice

  • Find and navigate to the nearest healthcare care facility in Makkah, Madinah and the Holy sites (Mashaer)

  • Get healthcare tips

  • What to pack

  • How to manage common conditions

  • Preparing for the 5 days of Hajj

The app is free and currently only available for Android devices with an IOS version to be launched in the coming days.
