Three hujjaj were rushed to hospital after a fire broke out on the upper floor of a 10-storey hotel in Makkah Saudi Arabia occupied by Asian pilgrims coming from Britain.

The three hujajj were treated for smoke inhalation.

Spokesman of the Civil Defense said the fire was successfully put out by Civil Defense fire extinguishing squads.

The blaze gutted a dining room and a reception hall before the firefighting teams were able to evacuate all the 107 Indonesian, Indian and Pakistani hujjaj coming from Britain.

An investigation into the incident was launched to determine the exact cause of the blaze.
