UUCSA Statement on “Open Mosque” Fraudulent & Misleading

September 22, 2014

Faizel Patel, Radio Islam News, 2014-09-22

A statement issued under the United Ulama Council of South Africa (UUCSA) regarding the incongruous ‘Open Mosque’ is fraudulent and misleading.

Moulana Yusuf Patel the Secretary General of UUCSA said the statement which is purportedly endorsed by several Ulama formations is yet another decadent instance of impersonation and misrepresentation.

“The individual’s penchant for name stealing and impersonating organizations borders on criminal action.”

“His latest guile is an announcement entitled “HARGEY’S ‘OPEN CHURCH’ DAMP SQUIB’ in which he fraudulently uses the names of several organisations on a fake UUCSA letterhead with a postal and physical address in Vanderbijlpark,” said Ml. Patel

Moulana Patel said none of the members of (UUCSA) had endorsed the statement, nor had it authorized any individual to speak on its behalf.

The UUCSA letterhead has Middelburg and Cape Town as its operational addresses, as well as the name of the founder members at the bottom of the letterhead.

The organisations website address is www.uucsa.co.za.
