Currently in its pilot phase the app has successfully loaded over 850 Masaajid which is being continuously updated.

“The smartphone is so powerful that we’ve got a slogan called: ‘The power in the palm of your hands and this is exactly what this will be able to do.’” Mohamed Amra, the developer of Muslim Directory told Radio Islam.

A few of the key features of the Muslim Directory App include assisting the Muslim community to find the closest Salaah (prayer) facilities especially when travelling, locate Halaal food outlets and the location of Muslim organisations.

The app will also assist with the location of Muslim professionals like Attorneys, Doctors and specifically female specialists.

“The key benefit of the App is we believe that it will assist the Muslim community to identify and navigate easily to these essential facilities in the everyday life of a Muslim,” said Amra.

“In addition this will also assist Muslim businesses and professionals to promote themselves effectively by being more easily identifiable to their customers and providing a much more effective platform for interaction with.”

The App is completely free and is available for both Android and Apple devices
