The mu’azzin (one who calls to prayer) of Masjid un Nabawi, Sheikh Abd al-Muttalib Najdi has passed away.

The janazah salaah (funeral prayer) was after Fajr salaah (early morning prayer) this morning (8 August)

Sheikh Abd al-Muttalib Najdi was a muazzin at Masjid un Nabawi for over 54 years.

Sheikh Abd al-Muttalib Najdi was born in Medina in the year 1356 AH. The honourable Sheikh was still in school when he joined Masjid un Nabawi as a mu'azzin in the year 1372.

Sheikh Abd al-Muttalib Najdi’s athaan (call to prayer) has captivated the hearts and mesmerized all those that have visited Masjid un Nabawi the final resting place of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in the beautiful and serene city of Medina.

We make dua (prayer) that Allah (SWT) accept his A’amaal Salih (pious/good deeds), forgive his sins and grant him the highest rank in Jannah (paradise)
