32 Kurds killed near Iraq

At least thirty two Kurdish fighters near the Iraqi border have been killed at the weekend.

The clashes between the Kurds and Turks come as the Turkish government continues to debate an incursion into Iraq.

At least 17 Turkish soldiers were also killed.

Turkish President, Abdullah Gul, and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, together with several other officials are to discuss Ankara’s response to the latest fatalities.

Iraqi President, Nuri al- Maliki has condemned the violence calling it a terrorist operation.
