Commuters angry after rain disrupts Metrorail

Seven train drivers have been treated for shock after angry commuters stoned Metrorail trains in Stanger, north of Durban.

Several carriages were badly damaged.

Metrorail spokesperson Thandi Mkhize says commuters became angry after overhead lines between Tongaat and Frazer were affected by rain.

It is not clear when the trains will resume their normal running schedule.
