Pakistani’s anxiuosly await Bhutto’s return

Thousands of Pakistani residents have gathered at a Karachi airport for the return of former Prime Minister, Benazir Bhutto’s return.

 

Bhutto, is aboard a flight returning to her country, despite threats of assassination from fighters linked to al-Qaeda once she reaches Karachi.

 

 

 

 

she is returning as a potential ally for Pakistani President, General Pervez Musharraf,

 

The US is believed to have encouraged their alliance in order to keep Pakistan, its ally, committed to fighting al-Qaeda and supportive of Nato’s work in Afghanistan.
