A 17-year-old teen has been shot dead in Ridgeway, south of Johannesburg.
It’s understood the teen was shot at his home this evening.
ER24’s Russel Meiring says the circumstances surrounding the incident is still unclear at this stage.
“Upon arrival we found a heavy local authority and CPF presence. We were immediately led into the house where we found the body of the boy lying in the passageway. On assessment we discovered that the child had sustained a gunshot wound to the abdomen. Unfortunately the child had already succumbed to his multiple injuries. He was declared dead on the scene.”
Authorities were on scene for further investigations.
