A 109-year-old Indian man is among the two centenarians from the country in Saudi Arabia, who will perform Hajj this year.
Injil Hossain Biswas from Murshidabad in West Bengal, is the oldest Indian Hajj pilgrim at the age of 109 years old.
100-year-old Abdur Rahim from Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh, is the second centenarian among India’s Hajj pilgrims.
A third pilgrim named Fida Husain from Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, is also among one of the oldest pilgrims from India performing Hajj this year. He is 98 years old.
All of them have come through India’s Haj Committee.
Over two million hujjaj from across the globe began their trek to the tent city of Mina today in the first leg of the five-day hajj.
On Friday, October 3 on the blessed day of Jumu’ah, nearly 3 million hujjaj will stand on the plains of Arafat.
